【AERIAL】is....
Aerial is a general term of performing in
the air, using silk, hoop, trapeze, etc.
One is the most popular is "Aerial
Silk".
(also known as aerial contortion, aerial
ribbons, aerial tissues, fabric, ribbon,
or tissu, depending on regional preference)
Aerial silk is a modern circus art that has
captured the imaginations of audiences worldwide.
Two long, luminous strands of fabric stretch
from the ceiling to the floor. The performer
uses the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing,
and spiral their body into and out of various
positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly
through the air, striking poses and figures
while flying. Routines are an exciting display
of athleticism, coordination and flexibility.
